Saturday, August 6, 2022, this audition is open to the students and adult dancers of SGB and the entire dance community of all surrounding counties and valleys. Audition for non-professional, and professional parts.

If you are a student aged 7 - to adult, wanting an opportunity to experience dancing with a professional cast and company, register early to secure your place in the audition. There are pantomime acting roles (non-speaking) and dancing roles available. Scroll down to submit early registration. *Please see further information below.

If you are a professional dancer and would like to join our company dancers in this production, and would also like to audition to become a company member, please see further information below and submit the registration form.

*Performance date: October 22nd

Audition Requirments:

​

*Proper ballet attire for boys/Gentlemen and girls/Ladies must be worn.

 

*Ladies should bring flat shoes, character shoes, and pointe shoes if applicable.

 

*Participants with at least 2-4 years of training and performing experience should bring a resume, headshot, and dancing photo.

​

*Advanced dancing roles require classical and contemporary ballet experience. Ladies must have strong technique, pointe work, and partnering skills. Gentlemen must have strong technique and strong partnering skills. 

​

*Pantomime acting roles do not need to have classical dance training but some dance experience is recommended. Classical Ballroom experience is accepted.

​

*Children's roles include dancing and pantomime. 

​

*All stages of beginners are welcome to the audition. 

​

*If you are selected, you must be available for all rehearsals and necessary classes. 

​

*For dancers who have pre-registered arrive 15 minutes early to check-in. Dancers who did not

preregister before the end date (Friday, August 5th, 9:00 pm) arrive 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork.

Audition Schedule:

​

Beginning students ages 7 - 10: 12:00 - 1:00 pm

Beginning students ages 11 and up: 1:15 - 2:15 pm

Intermediate/Advanced students ages 11 - 14: 2:30 - 4:00 pm

Intermediate/Advanced students ages 15 and up: 4:15 - 5:45 pm

*Professionals: 6:00 - 7:30 pm or Saturday, August 13th at 12:00 - 1:30 pm
