By signing this form, you agree to the following terms and conditions for the San Gorgonio Ballet (SGB) training season:
Training Season and Agreement Renewal:
The SGB training season runs from September 1st to June 30th. The student agreement renews annually on August 15th, and an updated form must be submitted by this date each season.
Season Obligation and Withdrawal:
Students are obligated to complete the entire training season. If a student discontinues their training with SGB within the season dates, a $100 drop-out fee will be charged. It can be paid using Zelle. If not paid by date of withdrawal it will be automatically charged to the debit/credit card on file.
Absences and Holding Fees:
During the summer months of July and August, a $25 monthly holding fee will be charged for students who do not participate in summer workshops, intensives, or regular classes but wish to hold their place. This fee also applies during the regular season if a student needs to take a month off.
* For our Trainee and Elite students, long periods of time off are strongly discouraged due to potential loss of technique and muscle strength, as repetitive training is crucial for a dancer's development.
Class Attendance:
Students are required to attend all assigned classes. The only exceptions for absence are illness and family emergencies. *For Trainee and Elite students with frequent absences, a conference with the student and parent will be scheduled.
Student Showcases:
Students are required to participate in both student showcases held in December and June. Attendance at all scheduled rehearsals is mandatory, with exceptions only for illness and family emergencies.
Fundraisers:
Students are required to participate in fundraisers hosted by the San Gorgonio Ballet Company (a 501c3 nonprofit organization) and the San Gorgonio Ballet School. Participation by parents is encouraged but not mandatory. Dress Code required: SGB shirts, jackets, and any other SGB branded attire are to be worn during these events.
Parent/Guardian Responsibilities:
The Parent/Guardian is responsible for providing necessary support for their child, including:
* Ensuring timely transportation for classes and rehearsals.
* Making financial payments on time.
* Providing all required documents.
* Agreeing to provide a current debit/credit card for automatic fee charges when necessary.
The student and parent/guardian gives permission to San Gorgonio Ballet Company and School (SGB) to photograph or record the student/class/rehearsal/performances/events for publicity purposes and training purposes. The student and parent/guardian also understand and agree that San Gorgonio Ballet Company or School (SGB) is not responsible for injuries, loss, or damage to personal property during classes/rehearsals and performances/events.
*Please note that San Gorgonio Ballet does not prorate for missed classes, due to studio closures or student absences, and all tuition sales are final and non-refundable. Make-up classes are available upon request.
